Jedi fallen order climb down ledge

I'm probably being an idiot here but random button pressing and a brief search here and generally hasn't thrown this up so here goes.

How do I climb down from a platform?

If I'm climbing up ( on the vertical ) and get to the top the character climbs onto the floor ( horizontal ) automatically. But I don't seem to have a solution for the reverse scenario.

Walking off doesn't work. Pressing the climb button doesn't work, pressing the drop button doesn't work. Playing with M&K btw.

Anyway I'm sure there is a totally simple solution and I'm just being dense but if anyone knows of it I would be grateful for a reply.

i dont think there is a function to do this. there isnt a need for anyways ^^
u can fall from a rly high distance without gettin damage. u only receive a litte damage if u fall down into a void but without losing any progress and u respawn on the ledge from where u was falling down.

I am having a similar problem, I can dangle from the bottom of a vertical wall, and I believe I need to jump and dangle to a wall below, but I can't figure out how with mouse/keyboard :/. So annoying! I figure I will end up getting it eventually by random jumping/hitting the bottom in the right spot from a different angle, but So annoying! And this is still in the tutorial part.

Actually I do take a little damage from doing this, eventually die and just respawn anyway :). But I can't avoid the void in this section.

I just managed to do it by jumping down from the top to where I needed to go next. The trouble is it looks like you need to climb a vertical wall down, then jump down to the next wall just below you, and there was no way I could figure out how to do that without hitting the void with the mouse/keyboard. I bet more people get "stuck" in this section, especially if they can't get the angle right to hit/climb that lower wall, or even consider looking down to jump down instead. The mini movie just before shows stuff getting destroyed and the vertical walls forming, so it Really looks like you should be climbing them :(.
